A name with a meaning

The name Saxonia leaves no doubt as to where exclusive luxury timepieces come from: From Saxony. The German state can look back on a long history as a pioneer in technical developments. In 1839, the first German steam locomotive was built in Saxony - named "Saxonia". A. Lange & Söhne ultimately named its innovative timepiece series after this groundbreaking invention.

Striving for perfection

In 2015, the Saxon watchmaker's art finally took the tradition of fine wristwatches worthily into a new age with the manufacture caliber L941.1. A. Lange & Söhne has never slowed down, but has steadily continued to surpass itself: A great deal of craftsmanship and attention to detail make every A. Lange & Söhne timepiece the perfect companion for the wrist - always precise, always functional, always reliable. The constant improvement of mechanical designs has always been a fundamental component of the company's philosophy.

Nothing but the finest mechanics

The Saxonia model series focuses on impressive mechanics - regardless of whether it's a traditional timepiece or an impressive complication watch. The focus is particularly on technical optimization and finding the ideal design solution for it. For this reason, every Saxonia is designed from the clockwork up. The watchmakers start with the "heart" of the timepiece and work their way outwards. In no way are they concerned with incorporating as many parts as possible or building in impressive complications, but rather the exact opposite: focusing on the mechanical essence. This special approach gives all Saxonia watches a minimalist, timeless elegance.
