A name with a meaning

The name Saxonia leaves no doubt as to where exclusive luxury timepieces come from: From Saxony. The German state can look back on a long history as a pioneer in technical developments. In 1839, the first German steam locomotive was built in Saxony - named "Saxonia". A. Lange & Söhne ultimately named its innovative timepiece series after this groundbreaking invention.

In 2015, the Saxon watchmaker's art finally took the tradition of fine wristwatches worthily into a new age with the manufacture caliber L941.1. A.
