A long tradition  

1858 was the founding year of the Swiss watch manufacturer Fabrique d'Horlogerie Minerva SA, whose former workshop in Villeret in the Jura Mountains is now continued by Montblanc. This marks the year when the watch division of the luxury product manufacturer from Germany began its history because, along with the location, Montblanc also took over Minerva's vast expertise, and its development work still takes place there today. With the Montblanc 1858 collection, Montblanc wants to celebrate this long tradition and therefore the models of the collection are inspired by the unforgettable watches that Minerva produced for military and mountain use in the 1920s and 1930s.
