Junghans Max Bill

The Junghans Max Bill wristwatch, originally inspired by the kitchen clock of the eponymous designer from the 1950s, embodies the Junghans collections like no other model. The elegance and simplicity of the "Max Bill" inimitably reflects the signature of its designer. Max Bill, architect, designer, sculptor, painter and former Bauhaus student, designed his first wristwatch, the Max Bill, based on the model of his kitchen clock in 1961. The concise dial of the kitchen clock was also the starting point for the product design of the wristwatches. This resulted in very simple but concise wristwatches, which are still timelessly modern today and stand for a very special exclusivity.

Variations in design

The basis of the unique watches Junghans Max Bill always remained the distinctive yet simple design of the dial. There were several variations, especially with and without numbers on the dial, but Max Bill's design was recognizable in each of them.

Precision

The Junghans Max Bill was equipped with the hand-wound caliber J84 and at the same time, the Junghans company incorporated all of its "know-how" into the technology of the wristwatch designed by Max Bill. This is already impressive, since Junghans at that time still had its own development for movements and was even able to produce calibers in chronometer quality. As the third largest watch manufacturer in the world at the time, after Rolex and Omega, this was an impressive level of focus on one product.

Timeless design

The success proved Junghans right because a timeless classic was created, which far surpassed the usual watch design of the time and has lost nothing of its relevance to this day. As the heir to Max Bill, Junghans still produces the Junghans Max Bill in many different variations, all of which have one thing in common: timeless simplicity and elegance.
