Glashütte Original Vintage

The Glashütte Original Spezialist was created based on the model Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, which was released in 1969. Technically re-equipped, the design of the Glashütte Original Spezialist remains very close to the original from 1969. Large, Arabic, easy-to-read numerals, no unnecessary ornaments, no optical gimmicks. As in the 1969 version, you can choose between a blue and a black dial on this watch model. The colors correspond exactly to those of 1969, and the panorama date (extra-large date display at the height of 4 o'clock), which is characteristic of Glashütte, is of course also a feature of this collection.

Great precision technology for the wrist

Despite its exclusive appearance, the Glashütte Original Spezialist is all about inner values and functionality: Equipped with the new Glashütte Original manufacture movements caliber 36-13 or caliber 39-11 (depending on the model selected), the diver's watch is ISO- and DIN-tested, water-resistant up to 30 bar, shock-resistant and, of course, saltwater-resistant. The hands and scales in the dial are covered with luminous material, so that the watch is easy to read even when used under water in the dark. The bezel, which can be rotated in both directions, has minute graduations for quick and reliable setting of dive time. This watch is much more than just the design. It is made for real divers.

Where manufacture is a way of life

If you think the true art of watchmaking only exists in Switzerland, you are far from the truth. In the small town of Glashütte near Dresden in Saxony, a good 800 kilometers from Switzerland, watches of the highest quality are produced in the manufactory of the same name. The high-quality watches are almost entirely (about 95%) designed and built in the in-house workshop. The expression Made in Germany is a sign of outstanding technology and the highest quality worldwide. A Glashütte Original not only rightly bears this seal of quality. One could even say that the seal only became what it stands for today through the watches of the Glashütte manufactory.
