Omega Constellation Globemaster

The Constellation Globemaster Chronometer is another product from Omega. The individual watches in this series are made of high-quality materials, depending on the version, such as stainless steel or stainless steel with 18 K yellow gold, as well as 18 K Sedna(TM) gold or 18 K yellow gold. The dials are made of metal and can have different colors. Fittingly, there is either a metal bracelet, which is also of high quality, or a model made of noble leather. As a feature, the Omega Constellation Globemaster can display the exact date and center seconds. The automatic movement has a power reserve of 60 hours. The extremely hard sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant and extremely durable. This makes this collection water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters and a faithful companion. Not only in everyday working life, but of course also for leisure activities and extreme sports.

METAS, the pioneering certification procedure

Swiss brand manufacturer Omega can proudly and rightly claim to have produced and marketed the world's first Master Chronometer. At a press conference convened in 2014, the company, together with the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), unveiled a novel certification procedure for watches and, in this context, the new Constellation Globemaster collection. In addition to everyday wearing conditions in various situations, the models were also tested to ensure that they function perfectly when exposed to disruptive magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. This revolutionary test procedure sets new standards in the watch industry. Only watches that pass this test can subsequently call themselves Master Chronometers.

The design and features

In terms of appearance, the makers were inspired by the first Constellation models. The renowned design of the dial from 1952 was largely retained and makes the brand watch unmistakable. The characteristically fluted bezel with its rounded edge is also unmistakable. The hard metal tungsten carbide was used as the material here. Thanks to luminous indices on the dial and the luminous hands, the time can be easily read even in unfavorable visibility conditions.
